While it feels important to make sure we have photographs of special dates and events as a way of recalling emotions and details in memories we’d otherwise have forgotten, the importance of cherishing smaller milestones in life is often overlooked. Anastasiia and Drew however, redefined the circumscription of significance in life in a way more suiting to themselves. Being a biracial couple that has spent time apart, they have learned to manipulate every moment they have together to its fullest extend. As a form of gratitude for simply having each other’s love and support through all the ups and downs in life, they chose to have a photo shoot together  which I had the great opportunity to execute. They didn’t need a reason to do it, all they simply wanted was a way of holding onto their spark, a way of celebrating their relationship before they even got married. Afterall, it gave them an excellent opportunity to work with the photographer they were potentially interested in for taking over their actual wedding day. We had a lot of fun working together at Cavo Greco’s beautiful sea caves in Ayia Napa, and the couple even got to explore a different, more artistic aspect of their relationship. Overall, it was a very interesting and enriching experience for both of us since I got to know them a bit more as well and since I also worked with them on their wedding later on, it gave us an extra boost of confidence and familiarity with each other. To any couple out there that is considering to do something similar, I would definitely encourage them to do so; we have a very selected few of opportunities in life and we don’t realise it until we have lost them. Here’s to the little moments!
